This workshop provides a brief history of mandalas and the benefits of making your own sacred circle which encompass play, moving meditation and introspection. This powerful experience includes guided meditation, music and exploring with art materials. With a background in art education, the emphasis is on the playing aspect to help people who believe they “can’t draw” overcome that belief and have fun. The approach to mandalas is Carl Jung’s therapeutic method of letting the mandala build without preconceived ideas, thereby drawing on the subconscious or Higher Self. Finally there is an interpretive exercise which reveals what is current for the creator and their Truth which is empowering and timeless.
